Shannon Harris

Lead Teacher, Tadpole 3 Year Old Class

Teaching Assistant, Lily Pad 2 Year Old Class

I have been married to my husband,  Randy, for 25 years. We have two sons, Jesse and Joey. I began teaching at Mt. Vernon in 2017.  My favorite part of the day is when the children first arrive. They are SO excited to be at school and they love to learn!

Kierstan Couch-Martin

Lead Teacher, Frogs 4 Year Old Class

Dakota and I have been together for 7 years. We have a 6 year-old daughter, Callie. We have our 4 fur babies; 2 dogs, Lucky and Sam, our cat, Nella and our goat baby, Abner! This is my 3rd year at MVP. My favorite part of the day is Center Time because I get to play with the children and observe them making up their own story plots, solving problems and using social skills.

Marie Green, Director

Teaching Assistant, Frogs 4 Year Old Class

I'm the proud wife of Richard Green, and we have two wonderful children, Libby and Nelson.  I've been a member of Mount Vernon United Methodist Church for almost 14 years. I graduated with my certified Georgia teaching degree in 2009. Teaching is my heart and passion.  This is what God made me to do. Becoming the director was an even bigger blessing because now I get to help and watch the church and preschool grow and support one another.  I love to watch children learn or try something new; their expression of excitement is heartwarming.

Cindy Davis

Lead Teacher, Lily Pad 2 Year Old Class

Teaching Assistant, Tadpole 3 Year Old Class

I’ve been married to Mack Davis for 30 years this July. We have wonderful daughter Maredith who lives in Kentucky and is married to Colton Woods. I have been teaching at Mt. Vernon for 8 years, and it is the best and most fun job I've ever had!!  My favorite part is just being with my buddies, playing, crafting, snacking, singing, and just being a two year old!
